Shopping, Love Your Lungs and Morning Tea and much more...

Please make sure you have blocked 1st June  in to your diary for Student Led Conferences.  (For those scheduling meetings around this you will definitely be finished by 1.30) Children come to school with you and go home with you ie they do not stay at school all day. You will received your appointment time on 24th May.
This cannot be transferred to another day as we set up stations for you to explore with your child.  See the eBrief for more details.

Character Morning Tea: Thank you for your encouragement and creativity. See the IN CLASS TAB for more photos of the amazing food sent in by the 'characters', as well as photos of our buddies visiting.
Ask your child what their buddy feedback was.
Ask your child what conversations they had as their character.

A huge congratulations must go to Ella and Lucas for performing in Friday NOON TUNES. Noon Tunes is an opportunity organised by the music department in which students may perform in front of an audience at lunchtimes on Fridays. The audience was large this week and included over half of 1MLN who came to support Ella and Lucas.

We had 2 Kids Up Front this week.
Ayesha has developed a passion for artists and so she inspired everyone to spend a day at the Singapore National Art Gallery. Ayesha found a number of artists that the class had studied during our Arts Festival unit.

Sami taught us several things about Lebanon and the children found connections between his Kids Up Front and Olly's one last week. Ask your child about these connections.
He then went on to teach us how to make Labneh.  You will have received a muslin bag sewed by Sami's grandmother as well as a recipe. Please send in photos if you try this at home.  Everyone tried Labneh and Hummus.

Ask your child to tell you 3 things they learnt in maths this week. You can use these photos as a prompt.
Ask your child why Finbar and Yash are laughing so hard. ( Look closely at Finbar's face)

Thank you to all who came to LOVE YOUR LUNGS. For those who missed it there are timelapse videos and some photos in a previous post. Scroll down for these.

Ask your child where this Teddy Bear has come from.
