Kids click here and add your favourite thing about Term 1
http://padlet.com/wall/7kr1hh41qtrp

It will come out on this wall....

Over 4000 views !!!

It was so nice to see you at PT conferences and to set goals for your children.

Please will you try to send a shoe box or 2 with your child sometime after the holidays. (We'll be filling it for Happy Lodge for Chinese New Year)

Also, each child will need a small soft toy to use as a BREATHING buddy. They have seen examples as some have already brought these in to class. They will stay in class (the size of an orange or smaller would be best please)

Swimming will start on the 11th January.

Thank you for all your help over the term as volunteers in the library, wrapping toys, Happy Lodge and much, much more.

Please return portfolio's after Christmas

Please think about KIDS UP FRONT over the holidays. There are a limited number of slots after the Chinese New Year holiday.

Happy holidays, Christmas and Hanukkah !

Holidays:

Staying in Singapore Did you know that THIS  happens?

The main holiday message from Will.I.AM  ( Lyrics are in the poetry folders)

Get creative, have fun, grow, try some SKILL busters ... but don't forget to share holiday antics on the first Monday back. (If you send in a video , uploaded to Youtube is easiest for me, otherwise please limit it to less than 2 minutes)

The children are loving NUMBER TALKS - sharing their strategies and thinking in Number. Some of you asked for nice Maths holiday resources.
You need to sign up for this privately but it's a nice levelled resource ... http://www.mathletics.com.sg/

The children also love iPad apps: Puppet Pals, Hopscotch (Coding) and Book Creator

The week started with the well earned sneaky swim ...

Throughout the holiday please ask you child if they have been MINDFUL that day. This practice is making a huge difference to the behaviour , focus and atmosphere of the classroom.

A video of G1 PE from Miss Sam
Happy Lodge visiting us was a huge success. Ask your child who our surprise guests were on Tuesday (not just the elderly , but others).

The annual end of term discos was a great event. Ask your child if they enjoyed this.

Children reflected on their Music for the term. Older children helped them to think deeply.

Ask your child how they felt when they donated TOYS.

Happy holidays, Hanukkah and Christmas to all, from Singapore to Oregon to Argentina and all places in between!
