As part of our Sound and Light unit we need flashlights ( every year we buy them but they corrode in this humidity). Your child will need one for the sleep over so if we could borrow as many as possible in advance starting on Monday we'd be most grateful.

6.30pm, 9th June -Sleepover is a part of our Outdoor Education programme and it is therefore an expectation that all children attend. Early in G2 the children have a zoo camp and this great preparation. But most importantly it's a wonderful time to create memories and end the year as a team.  A notice will come home soon with a "packing list" 
But please be prepared to pick your child up from school at 8.30am on the 10th June, they will be excited to see Mum or Dad at the door.

We just ended the week with a great "tasting" Dragon Boat festival by Michelle.

Majella organised for Hay, a G12 scholar from Cambodia, to come and speak about life in Cambodia, as well as life as a scholar. You will see Hay's proud family in the background, they were over for his graduation.
Ask your child what they remember of Hay's conversations about settling in to life in Singapore.

Here we are using the Atlases to discover more about Cambodia. Some of you may have seen a beautiful library booked called " The Last King of Angkor Wat" by Graeme Base. We found multiple copies in the library - what a  find !

Adam collected around 150 pcs of hotel packed toothbrushes and 100 pcs of non woven recycle bags to take with him on his journey.

A major event this week has been getting to know Grade 2 spaces. Here we all are on a treasure hunt throughout the JS. G2 are showing us around.
1MLN have spent considerable time in G2 classes, corridors and the JS as a whole, even the JS sports hall so they are well prepared for their new space in August.

Sean "The Kiwi Kid" represented NZ extremely well this week by telling the class all about KiwiFruit . you will have received your own bag as a present from Sean, and may have seen a very oddly shaped spoon... or is it a knife? Have you tried out 'spife' yet ?
